You reading many of these reports, @bryan_caplan ? They say the same thing, more or less. I think I've read 10 of them now.

B-But it's positive in the 25-50 range so we can implement a ponzi scheme! http://econfaculty.gmu.edu/bcaplan/pdfs/whyimmigration.pdf …pic.twitter.com/FRFIGlJsXn

So importing illiterates and semi-illiterates from the most corrupt, authoritarian, and backward countries is bad business. Thank God we have a study for that.

@kokoomus@TereSammallahti@elinalepomaki maahanmuuttajia lisää? -
Yes this is good data too. Its just that many Finnish politicians look to other countries due to lack of self confidence. They are always looking towards Europe rather than seeing what is happening in their own backyard.

Any similar studies for Germany?
-
I don't know any, but perhaps
@derhorus_x knows one. You tried the obvious searching? -
Yes but only older studies which lump all immigrants together. No clean separation between the origin of migrants and their generations. Also a lot of focus on EU-Migration. You Danes are lucky to have those flawless Migration-reports.

Here's one, but it's not so good. Wildly optimistic conclusion for the 2nd generations, not sure what the error/trick is exactly. Hard to read German. :P It's obvious from the life-time plot they are net negative over life (German natives ~0). https://www.bertelsmann-stiftung.de/fileadmin/files/BSt/Publikationen/GrauePublikationen/Studie_IB_Der_Beitrag_von_Auslaendern_und_kuenftiger_Zuwanderung_zum_deutschen_Staatshaushalt_2014.pdf …pic.twitter.com/mkBupdewLm
