In my experience it is well known, but explained away by cultural factors. They are apparently immune to the unconscious/ systematic/structural discrimination that keeps others down.

This thought, that Asian minorities outperforming whites undermines left theories, doesn't occur to majority of default-liberals, who generally accept those theories. It does occur to the ideologues, who are talking to their own crowd when they warn such information is dangerous.
