I'm more surprised to discover that Hegel was right about *something*, apparently: "...So you see, phrenology is not the baseless art which Hegel imagined." (As it was, of course, since its regions etc had nothing to do with contemporary neuroscience or brain volume results.)

I hate Hegel but I also think that historicism a la cliodynamics is correct. Popper went too far in his critical stance (in eagerness to defeat Marxist historicism?).
