Sex dimorphism doesn't require sex chromosomes. Autosomal SNPs (with equal freqs by sex) can produce dimorphism via sex specific effects (usually due to gene expression interacting with hormones). Quite a few papers on this

They usually define these without option for interactions and using autosomes only so the betas can't differ by sex.
