The Zietsch and Sidari critique of applications of life history theory to humans is published in @EvolHumBehav . Some responses forthcoming. Things getting interesting.https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1090513818302848 …

Interesting indeed. Any idea who is writing responses?

I have some thoughts...

I mean, it’s not something I know a great deal about, but I think it’s a great article.

I really like it to, much needed. r/K is popular among some groups and has some nasty ties to people like J. Philippe Rushton

I’m not seeing many papers invoking r/K anymore. Seems like Rushton keeps coming up tho. Has anyone tried to get retractions of his papers? New people who are curious about pop differences will continue to find them. As I recall, the Charleston shooter found that stuff...

r/K is out of fashion but some LHT stuff is hard to distinguish the way some authors frame I t (definitely not all). I imagine retracting Rushton’s stuff will be hard, which is a shame

Not nearly as hard as getting retractions on papers by wansink or Sternberg. These are ideas people mostly dislike rather than like, and Rushton isn’t a leader in a field.
