Recent progress in AI have taught us an important fact: an intelligence as general as human intelligence applied to a particular task totally sucks compared to an AI system dedicated to that task. (also, human intelligence is not that general).

This is one of the arguments used by the evo psych people when they argue for their Swiss knife conception of human cognitive abilities/structure vs. the general intelligence models of IQ researchers.
