I don’t see how you can justify that claim empirically. Econometrically, it’s very hard to distinguish between social outcomes -> educational outcomes and educational outcomes -> social outcomes.

Some large social discrepancies are hardly caused by intelligence, e.g., urban vs rural, close to major cities vs not. You should control those.
