Pro-natalism does seem to be very popular amongst libertarians at the moment, so there's a good reason to hope that the amazing character of libertarians will be passed on. If civilization should survive, libertarians have a moral obligation to become sexy!

There are serious consequences to a fertility rate below replacement. It necessitates a large increase in immigration to keep the tax base up. Not surprisingly the native population feels threatened and diminished by the newcomers.
