You probably mean catholic (or "populist"). I think there is some cultural co-evolutionary process whereby the groups involved (priests, catholics, jews) produce magical narratives (holy scripture) and the shared belief that jews have power over the weather, central banks, etc.

The problem with many, not all, people who dismiss the jq is they seem to be really high in intelligence which is correlated with openness and empathy and high trust which are traits you wouldn't find in those more recently under strong darwinian selection, thus more susceptible
