Apparently, some researchers think that schizophrenia is particularly marked by bad executive or frontal lobe function. However, review shows that it makes more sense to think of them just having lower intelligence in general. Per Simonton's work, he's the only major figure (as I recall) with paranoid schizophrenia. Usually geniuses suffer from depression, hypomania etc.

Gödel had some sort of paranoid delusion going on, but I guess otherwise there's no evidence it was related to schizophrenia.
