I agree. Sometimes this overestimation is presented as being extreme, "Everybody is above average", but reality is that people's self-estimates are not that far off in the average. A story surely familiar to

Hahaha, no sh*t, “educated” people who self-select based on their perceived intellect think they are more intelligent. They should do a study where people have to test-sell something to show how good they are persuading others - THAT would be an accurate intelligence readout
