The people who say this, generally have no trouble raising concerns about group inequality though. That's fine, but it means researchers have to investigate causation.

The frame is way off so it's hard to know where to start from. It's crucial for scientific progress that autonomous researchers can pursue a wide range of questions. Research & policy are 2 distinct spheres; politics itself shouldn't be based on avg differences.
