How I did my tax returns in Sweden (belonged to a category that both had salary & corp income). Audited 10 yrs straight. Calculated how much deductions I had. Trebled them. 1/3 outrageous, 1/3 grey, 1/3 solid. Ended up with 30-50%. If not had ended up with 30% of the solid.
Advanced academic writing tip: Leave a few silly errors in submitted manuscripts on purpose (e.g. slightly differing n's). This gets reviewers to focus on them instead of trying to come up with advanced complaints to justify their role that would be very time-consuming to fix.
