That's probably just a situation similar to Japan having the most patents per capita. Most significant scientific studies would likely be a better indicator than just all scientific studies. Could use Nobel Prizes per capita or somehow calculate Charles Murray's sig. figures pc.
Maybe someone should have a look at the ancestry of US white winners to see what the general representation looks like.
