Do you think embryo selection / genetic engineering for polygenic human traits would work? I.e. if someone were to spend a few years perfecting the technology for this, it would work.

But these two things are very different: ES - yes, even with todays tech (although models are not very good) GE - not in foreseeable future P.S. I work in genome research
If you think one is possible and the other not, then that means one of them is possible and the disjunctive is true, hence vote yes. GE, I see it easily doable soon (<5 years). How many edits do you really need to get some noticeable effect? Like pick the top 10 snps by beta.

I wonder about the idea of "mesh eugenics"(a concept I came up with)... couples intentionally giving birth to their biological grandchildren via artificial gametes and then doing embryo selection.
