It's quite impressive the level of accuracy you can get with linear models ("additive genetic" in genomics language) and common SNPs. I know Hsu et al have reached this level of accuracy earlier. But just generally it's quite impressive.

Linear not the same as additive, silly bird. You can have nonlinear additive models (all loci independent but effect is not linear effect of the number of minor alleles).
