Despite it being a well tread subject it's something I very much care about because I think demonstrating its problems, conclusively, matters a great deal to politics. The media is a major power in society (probably common sense to most people but it needs to be reiterated).

And yeah, I'd hesitate to use the word "enemy" just because it may come across as too extreme and they'll dismiss it out of hand but it's very much an accurate description. The problem with the media goes well beyond just being an annoyance, again, it's a major power in society.
