That was me, I apologize.

Survey fatigue is real. Everywhere where you go, every service call you make, someone asks you to take a fucking survey. I also think this leads people to be less honest on them
-
My friend who grew up in the GDR (East Germany) has been astonished by all the opportunities for 360 degree feedback, whether as a consumer encouraged by retail stores / quick service restaurants or as colleagues with employee reviews or as academic with student reviews of profs.
-
He said it’s much more intensive & efficient than Stasi tracking but also prone to corruption and gaming of the system by canny players.
-
When working in retail, store management was absolutely obsessed with survey feedback... you might have noticed this at the end of every transaction or at bottom of every receipt from
@Walgreens,@McDonalds,@Kroger,@Target,@HiltonHotels, etc. Reliable indicator? -
It would be an interesting project to start a concerted effort with a group of people to ask for similar things again and again at the same store and see how long it takes for management to respond.
-
Customers would complain about service availability, but if management hadn’t scheduled enough staff, we were overwhelmed and service quality would of course suffer. Was fascinating how frugal they got with hours after the $15 minimum wage came into power... TANSTAAFL!
-
I assume management was involved in some kind of profit/bonus structure?
-
Recently saw ads suggesting that store management in my area can realistically expect six figures with bonuses. Not necessarily easy work, but if one shows responsibility & commitment it’s pretty honorable work to run a burger production factory.
