Anyone know of a way to compute admixture/ancestry estimates directly from principal components? Preferably in #rstats In some cases, PCs are pre-computed and getting the DNA data is difficult, so if one could just use the PCs it would be awesome.

Perhaps I’m not understanding the context. Are these PCs all computed on the same set of individuals or across several where you might be able to calibrate it?

Good question. Unfortunately I suspect they are just calculated within this sample which is very homogeneous.
