Maybe they’re more prone to addiction than others? Less history of agriculture, less self control. Scientific advances making drugs more addictive than in the past?

If there was a recent tendency for margianally Indian, but mostly white Americans to switch from the Indian to the white identification, you’d see that dive too. I don’t think there’s such a tendency though.

Honestly, I would expect the opposite.

Are a larger percentage of Native American Indians taking the test? Or, is it due to fetal alcohol syndrome? It could be (I've heard that the liquor stores next to reservations do amazing business -- a real growth industry).
