What does Paige Harden, @kph3k, have to say about this?

Yet there are diseases resulting from a single gene anomaly. Single genes, large effects.

I thought the puberty one was rather crazy. It seems to simply speed up life history by years without any obvious drawbacks.https://twitter.com/KirkegaardEmil/status/1086076022653575170 …

Disappointing, I thought she was honest.

Maybe she just didn't check and went with the reasonable prior.

Paige Harden is a joke. The best of her is parroting others' good work, and the worst is her being dreadfully wrong on matters where she is supposed to know better.
-
She openly states she is motivated to preserve “social policy” in her attempts to accommodate biological discoveries.

May I ask, at what level of prediction are we speaking? Obviously MAO-A not causal.....what does Paige, in fact, claim. No R^2 for MAO-A at all?
-
I don't know the literature. I just see bullshit from her. Skimming some stuff, it's hard to find some proper effect size estimates.
-
I thought link would be her claim in media...or are you just referring to something you saw in passing from her.....

I agree about the priors. However, published evidence is what it is, and contrary to what she said. MAOA is on chrX and they don't normally include sexsomes in meta-analyses. There's only one tiny GWAS for this trait.https://www.nature.com/articles/tp2016155 …
