many times people will mischaracterize statements of fact, even subjective statements of fact, as being emotions based as a way of underhandedly saying "keep your feelings to yourself.. The debate about feelings is a PC way to talk about things that we can't talk about.

The other dogma he leaves out is that just because keeping it results in a happier life that happier life is predicated on external circumstances, if your feelings are the result of negative environmental issues that keeping it in doesn't matter, the data suffers normalcy bias
