PISA scores higher than the IQ scores. SES for Ireland is lower than UK etc., so likely direction of error is that PISA-based estimate is too high. He suggests reasons why that might be but leaves it open question for future. Countries sometimes game the PISA sampling.pic.twitter.com/ftlRkc1gC8

PISA 2015 in ireland: "In the second stage of sampling, up to 42 students aged 15 years (those born in 1999) were selected to participate...." http://www.erc.ie/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/PISA2015_FutureReady.pdf … can't see any explanation as to *how* they were selected. (but report is 234 pgs. and i didn't read it all.)
