The study actually never looked at race. These were all national origin groups which is not quite the same as racial groups, in some cases far from it. Not that there's anything wrong with racial stereotype research, just this wasn't that.

They want to have it all; freedom from accusations of communism, and the very recent history of IQ denial under both the communist and Nazi regimes. They need to demonstrate a specific mechanism for their theories. Otherwise it is just not a scientific question, its just bigotry
