Maybe a DPhil Music isn't fully up to date with IQ research. Multiple Intelligences/stereotype threat/"genes aren't important" have a certain appeal.

I guess then maybe a 'DPhil Music' (whatever that is) should avoid pretending to be an expert on the topic they obviously do not understand and have done zero due diligence on.

If IQ doesn't matter, isn't it another reason to stop the witch-hunt against Noah Carl? If IQ is meaningless it shouldn't matter what races have the lowest IQs, right?
