Genetics people: regression to the mean happens because a trait is part environmental, not because "children are 50 per cent similar genetically to their parents," right??

Thanks! Specifically referring to the discussion in Plomin's book about regression between parents and kids (not groups or repeated measurements of the same person). Would be curious what you think of his quote in the thread.
Plomin's messed it up. He could insert "additive" and make it correct but an awkward formulation. Genetic RttM happens due to <100% additive heritability.
