The trouble is in the circularity of science. Science community needs a peer reviewed paper to prove that peer review does not work but how many reviewers will admit they are wasting their time?
Reminder that peer review as it currently exists is a recent invention with not very convincing evidence behind it and obvious bias problems. That something made it thru peer review somewhere does not tell you much of anything, so read #preprints

Surely, Peer Review dates back to the Royal Society? Peers of the Realm were entitled to attend demonstrations as witnesses. Hence the term. My relative John Vaughan of Gelli Aur, Carmarthen, 3rd Earl of Carberry was an early President of the Royal Society at the time.
