You know that time when people decided to unleash the crazies of the asylums, who now roam the streets? Social psychologists were helping that idea along. From Jussim 2017 review http://labs.psychology.illinois.edu/~acimpian/reprints/jussim_BBS.pdf …pic.twitter.com/AAPN6Sivs9

The modern analogy: now lefty academics trying to tell us that trannies are not mentally ill, just as they tried to tell us schizos who roam the streets and harass people are not. Schizos have 900% higher violent crime rate, trannies have ~40% suicide rate (avg. is ~1.3%).

Not surprisingly, letting lunatics out of the asylum to be homeless street people was based on a psychology paper published in ... 1973. A history of 1973 could be aptly titled: "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time"

Admitting that your framework cannot distinguish between sanity and insanity, is better understood as a falling short of your framework, at least by the sane.

The primary function of sociologists and psychologists is to peddle bias and simplifications of complex contexts, thus producing obstacles for agency and people's own self-knowledge.
