It's a joke, but with some truth to it. In red countries, okay to point out obvious truths denied by PC elite such as Muslims are terrible immigrants to get, there's only 2 sexes, trannies are mentally ill etc.

I hate the "PC police" relationship to truth as much as anybody, but It's kinda hard to see how this is not just the equivalent of exaggerated use of Nazi-comparisons.

Yeah ... well ... few of those countries are good company. But I suspect the reasons for these killings are rather different. Being a war-time journalist in Syria is obviously more dangerous than just criticizing government in a democracy. So, it doesn't really say that much.
