One problem is that these experts are (naive) *Americans* & thus likely assume that private charity & relatives support immigrants until they get jobs, as in the USA. Their views might change if they knew the German state provides all this, at a cost of €25 billion yearly.

Immigrants in the US recieve plenty of welfare from the government.

Economists' greatest failure today is not recognizing human differences and the externalities they cause.

Much of economics is pseudoscience.
-
No it's not. It's that polls like this include a broad array of economists, most of whom are not immigration experts and are not up on the latest literature. I am more up on the economics of immigration in the US than most economists despite no PhD simply from being current.
-
Yes it is. Read debunking economics by Steve Keen.

maybe they plan on monetization via biobanking the refugees, and harvesting their organs for the vampiric oligarch sector of health care but they would mislike the provenance, "Eritrean goatherd lungs are all smoky now"

Sounds like they all just read that one article posted in The Economist back in 2015 and haven’t looked into it since.

This poll is NOT anonymous. Can it be that those experts do not dare to state their true opinion, as no one wants to be seen as a 'racist'?
