Not in the narrative preferred ways? At the local authority level, which is more precise than the "regional" level, IQ is positively associated with socially and economically liberal viewpoints, as well as trust in experts and a vote for Remain in the EU referendum. /1

Indeed, but this is consistent with previous findings - and most elites are, at heart, more economically liberal (pro free-market) than the protectionist and anti-immigration public.

Yes, but does not fit the overall narrative of left = best. It's just more findings along libertarians = smartest theme, not liked by the media.
