Not in the narrative preferred ways? At the local authority level, which is more precise than the "regional" level, IQ is positively associated with socially and economically liberal viewpoints, as well as trust in experts and a vote for Remain in the EU referendum. /1

Economically liberal means right-wing.
-
Indeed, but this is consistent with previous findings - and most elites are, at heart, more economically liberal (pro free-market) than the protectionist and anti-immigration public.
-
Yes, but does not fit the overall narrative of left = best. It's just more findings along libertarians = smartest theme, not liked by the media.
-
Neoliberals would be quite pleased, too, though! However, you're certainly correct to say that the centre-left would not be too pleased.

Richer areas are more right wing. Richer areas have more bright people. Without addressing this confounding factors the research is meaningless. To be genuinely valuable the research would need to be done on an individual basis, though data difficult and expensive to obtain.
-
The data was aggregated from individual level dude, pay attention.
-
Dude. Don’t you see why aggregating data in a non random manner may skew results? If not, then don’t post stuff you don’t understand
-
I do, but that's not the point because the aggregate results are interesting too. You seem to only be interested in individual level, which makes little sense to reply to this.
-
I pointed out why aggregating the data in a non random way introduces a systematic flaw, which means this analysis is meaningless
-
Muted for stupidity.
-
Don’t post this kind of stuff unless you understand what covariance means and how to calculate it

I haven’t read the article, but aren’t there 418 councils in the UK?
