I'm a bit mystified by this comment. You're generally fairly focused on the empirical literature. I have seen zero evidence whatsoever for any differential gender-specific effect on success in quantitative work conditioned on equivalent skill. Are you going to back this up...?
I was referring to people with quant. skills but lack of interest in quant. work. For these people, quant. work not a good career choice. Or similarly, if there's other attributes of work life incongruent with personality, e.g. too much stress. More to career guidance than skill.
