This is definitely my favorite headline about our work. My favorite writing is still when Rolling Stone called me “a dickishly ubiquitous young right-wing kingmaker with clear designs on becoming the next generation’s Koch brothers.” I don’t think these writers compared notes.

Quote is from this new critique of Murray's use of polygenic scores. A silly example since polygenic scores are validated within race, and skin color isn't predictive of IQ within families suggesting colorism is not real (for IQ).

  4. In hindsight, how much of this was just left wing academics trying to protect their own by claiming academic freedom's importance?

I'm doing a workshop on Regression Discontinuity Designs in a couple of weeks. Got a favorite RDD paper? I'd love to feature it in the Recent Applications section. It can be from work you've done or work someone else has done. Thanks!!

What kind of journalist is this? Usually you have to do a little more work to produce a story that fits an agenda. Now it's easy as "DMs open! Tell me what I want to hear."

Which world would you rather live in (In US/W Europe): 1950s social "technology" (social norms, roles, expectaions, traditions) + 2020 material technology OR 2020s social technology + 1950s material technology

This map shows the different worldwide genetic populations of a virus called JC Polyomavirus (JCPyV). It is present in almost all humans, and has been since we evolved. It's populations mirror human populations. BUT 🤪 VIRUS RACES DO NOT EXIST 🤪

From Pew: "Nigeria is the seventh most populous country in the world, with 206 million people. By 2100, it is projected to be the world’s third most populous country – ahead of the U.S. – with 733 million people, according to United Nations estimates." ~100 million hope to leave

For whom do you have more contempt -- millionaire bigot Saira Rao making $2,500 a pop lecturing white women about their racism and privilege, or the white women chomping at the bit to pay that kind of money to be debased in their own homes?

I can't help but notice that the "most regretted" college majors tend to be those in which there are higher percentages of liberals, and the least regretted ones tend to be those in which you see comparatively higher concentrations of conservatives.

Here's a great example of where intersectionality is useful: as a testable hypothesis. This (gated) paper shows differences in the use of sterilization vs. contraception by race, education, & sex. Over 60% of uneducated white women get their tubes tied.
