Fuck it, time to back up more stories. The @ashnichrist story about Zyori is true; he tried the exact same with me back at TI5. Very systematic:
- talk to a "new" girl
- do them a favor
- pressure
- try again at a 2nd occasion (he stopped by my place in NL on a eurotrip)
I felt indebted to him (he took me into the TI5 afterparty) but I said no. He took that no--and then took another no at my home in NL. It would've been way harder and way scarier if I would've had a stake in the pro scene, but I didn't yet.
I brushed it off as an awkward incident back then. But the whisper network says there's other new girls and other favors, and Ashni's story broke my heart. At some point, ignorance becomes a willful looking away because the truth doesn't suit you.
Last but not least, before I get the "he did nothing to you" yellers in here--that's completely correct. I'm illustrating that these things happen on a spectrum and therefore also never, ever stand on their own.
I've talked it over with Zyori yesterday night. I understand why these things happen--we live in a fucked up system that makes it hard to be honest about power and sex. But if I have the power to make less people doubt Ashni, it is my obligation to use it.
I opened up not as an 'extra accusation' but as an illustration of the fucked-up spectrum of interactions that we humans operate on. Not everything is a "metoo" story. But it can become one--through ignorance or intent.
Not this this matters, but I believed her, and I believe you.
Already believed Ashnichrist the first time and I also believe you. It’s been disheartening to hear what people, including casters, had to say about Ashnichrist recently. But maybe now people will see the light and know they were wrong to defend him
Defend him fra what? Allegations that he made a move on a girl that had declared her interest and given consent along the way?
Didn't she admit that she used her body in order to get fame in DotA community, and when she didn't get what she wished, she played victim? That happened with both their consents didn't it? Feels like u people are milking stories that are totally different from harrasment.
"I got my period the first day there and said we couldn't do anything but we could still hang out. He pressured me to do it anyways. I spent the week there having sex with him every day while I was not feeling it". He pressured but not harass.And she did have sex. I see no issue.
