Reaching that milestone is AWESOME, but the badge itself wasn’t meant to verify sub count, just to help viewers find official channels. You may still get a badge at 100k subs, so long as you meet the other eligibility criteria.

I'd like to see the REAL stats of the number of Impersonating Channels that manage to reach 100K and get verified without your staff IMMEDIATELY noticing when they apply for it? Is that not something you guys manually weed out? Where are the numbers you speak of?
