Super is very similar to rage arts in T7: armored and available at 30%. You do not LOSE IT IF YOU WHIFF, it is just in a cooldown. One PER GAME. Once it hits its gone. Supers have finally arrived in MK #MK11Reveal #mk11

Apologies for my poor NRS knowledge, but weren't X-Rays functionally the same thing as supers? Uses all your meter?

yes but they were notoriously rare because there were always better uses for meter. off the top of my head the only character i remember using xray in any notable amount was kitana.
