    Jim Sheridan Irish filmmaker known for his collaborations with Daniel Day-Lewis. One of these was My Left Foot (1989) where Day-Lewis stars as Christy Brown who has cerebral palsy with the only part of his body that he can control is his left foot which he uses to paint.

    Mary Jackson (1921-2005) was an engineer from Hampton, VA. You might recognize her name from the film “Hidden Figures” - she was NASA’s 1st Black female engineer. A member of the AKA Sorority, she graduated from Hampton University in 1941 with degrees in Math & Physical Sciences.
