Ooooo, Elizabeth Warren's question abt. the public losing confidence in the Chief Justice & SCOTUS REALLY pissed off john roberts who sits like a potted plant no matter what transpires. I think SCOTUS has already lost a lot of legitimacy with a majority of rational citizens.

However, Warren’s question puts it in Roberts head, how the country will from this point view him and will SCOTUS... for presiding over what he knows is a sham trial... and doing nothing, as it was meant to do.

That was a spot on, on point, and fearless question. Appropriate answer from Schiff should have been “yes - it does undermine the entire system as any ordinary citizen doesn’t get to have a show trial with no judge manning the rudder.”
