Author of that piece is editor of The National Review and touting his latest book. Why he's getting ink in The Atlantic certainly worth questioning, though I always find it worth looking more closely at the writer's background because pieces like this often aren't from staff.

Wow that article has no historical context or basis in reality. My favorite is when they try to interrogate what they think are problematic views then turn around and call something “natural” without no examination of that very term.
