    In any case, I don't think anyone is "born with abilities" -- it's a reductionistic and deterministic statement that collapses development and levels of analysis. People are born with genes that, given a particular set of environments...

    I like that Barack Obama made many of my peers realize that we have to look beyond nice slogans, good design, and pretty oratory and find the meat of policy and values. The way he broke our hearts really shaped our politics.
