It is hard to grasp the enormous scale of human carbon emissions. Since 1850, it is estimated that human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and clearing forests, have released more carbon than is currently present in all the living things on Earth.

is starting - very excited to see this experiment unfold! A completely online conference, with dozens of hubs and even more people watching individually, I guess. I wonder what the overall attendance number is!

Do you all know the story of how the uranium used in the first atomic bomb was obtained using gigantic electromagnets made of solid silver? I feel as though it should be a famous story – but I hadn’t heard it till I stumbled across it recently. [1/?]

"Typically CO2 concentrations changed by ½ to 1 ppm every century as the world slowly swung in and out of ice ages, contributing to the swings. Today average CO2 levels change by 1 ppm every 20 weeks" Glenn Tamblyn, 2015 2018: 1 ppm every 16.9 weeks 😲

Hello ! I have recently switched to the family plan, and added one new profile. I am not able to share playlists from the master account to the second one. I get the message (in the Android app) "Playlist successfully shared", but I don't see it in the second account?
