Almost like the price skyrocketed after the "affordable care act"
The people who discovered insulin (Frederick Banting, John Macleod and a team alongside them) got a nobel price and gave the patent away for free because they didn't wanted a life saving drug to be sold at exorbitant price.
The patent for insulin was sold for a dollar. It derived from animals and injected with a very basic needle and syringe. Low cost. Now, its manufactured using bacteria in which a copy of the gene for human insulin & modified chemically that work faster or last longer. High cost.
Just to point out how crazy that is, canine insulin is 30 euros a vial in France. Chemistry not that different as far as I know.
this is in a word. VILE! #nopun
