This Monday I have a story out in the New Yorker and it’s Khmer AF! Like, it’s about a donut shop and mentions Haing S. Ngor! And I’m fairly sure this will be the first Khmer/Cambodian American fiction published in the New Yorker!

Traditional Cambodia Classic Dance Show This classical dance is named: Kuos Ang Rea Dance which means to pound the unhusked rice for cooking. They took long stick wood and laid it and hit each other. Dancers jump in and out into the hole. Pretty sound.

Y’all don’t really understand what it’s like to be a child living as the only Asian kid in town. Or to be among other Asians but be the only one of your ethnicity.
