I agree completely. It's why I'm currently hooked on Twitter and am loving the encouragement and joy for writing in this #WritingCommunity.

I really dislike it when someone follows me, only to un-follow me the second they realized I followed them back. What is this uncaring and inconsiderate act? I think the #WritingCommunity is more about connecting and relating. Not making followers by tricking each other.

It's like seeing the accomplishments others have done and people sharing their interests, relating. Making jokes. A lot of people talk about this, and I still don´t get it. Why does it matter how many people you follow, and how many people follow you in comparison?

For me , I guess it's all about intentions. I don't want to follow someone if their intention was not to be my friend, acquaintance or someone who would eventually connect with me. I joined the writing community to see different styles, practice and learn from others.

I actually joined Twitter to follow one particular poet, who was not on Facebook, but then I happened upon this entire writing community and have really enjoyed meeting other writers, discovering new journals, and just reading people´s posts. Nice to meet you!
