Ah thank you Lyra I had no idea the foreskin played such an important role in protection and pleasure I guess I’ll stop all the research I’m doing with them to prevent the transmission of herpes and HIV and other STIs that use the foreskin as the main route of entry into the body

hiv is the only one of those things that has been theorized to use the bodies immune system as a route for transmission. dont you think if you could prove that was true it would have already been proven with all the research that has been done?

https://www.hindawi.com/archive/2013/109846/ … 4.13. "Langerhans cells are quite efficient in killing HIV cells ... [they] are the first line of mucosal defense. Their presence in the mucosal portion of the prepuce may explain why the overall incidence and prevalence of STIs is lower in intact men."

my friend langerhans cells are my specialty, they transmit HIV at really high levels, and in two phases, early after infection like even 30mins and later after a few days, they carry the virus on the surface but they also become infected and release new virus particles to t cells

Why is your research on this topic myopically focused on males only? Is it only ethical to propose forcibly ablating body parts from males but not from females, even for the purposes of epidemiology? What an interesting and anti-scientific double standard. Let's mull that over.

What a good point. The female prepuce also contains Langerhans cells, does it not? If they're such HIV magnets, female circumcision should also be a great HIV prevention measure. Said finding would even agree with existing research: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/265824402_Female_Circumcision_and_HIV_Infection_in_Tanzania_for_Better_or_for_Worse … Uncomfortable yet?

yep. human genitals are homologous. its one or the other...either circumcision has benefits for both males and females or it has none for both.
