The finding connecting the pain of spanking to brain damage raises serious question about the practice of male circumcision. If spanking retards the toddler brain, imagine how slicing off a chunk of the penis might affect the mind of a newborn.

There's tons of evidence of circumcision trauma: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/moral-landscapes/201501/circumcision-s-psychological-damage … https://www.academia.edu/6395216/Alexithymia_and_Circumcision_Trauma_A_Preliminary_Investigation … It's extremely painful even with anesthetic: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/11419014_Pain_During_Mogen_or_PlastiBell_Circumcision … So bad they sometimes use fentanyl: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/pan.13429 … That pain matters:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1595204/ …

"intraoperative fentanyl" - sorry for not knowing, but what does intraoperative mean in this case? Intraoperative means during the operation, so I guess I'm wondering HOW it's administered?

How can anything involving administration of fentanyl be "so quick and easy?"

It's quick and easy -for them-. Circumcision is the easiest money in the business, you strap a child to a board so they can't resist, cut a piece off them, often without any anesthetic because "it takes too long", and then sell that piece online for hundreds more!
