It’s just a high density of nociceptors. They respond easily to touch and remind you not to hit that spot. They’re the wrong type of receptor.

Do you have some kind of citation to back up this claim? Still not answering the question of "what mechanism does respond to touch with pleasure then?"

A very specific kind of touch receptor that is not found in regular skin (like the foreskin) but is found in and just around the gland. They aren’t nociceptors. Those detect pressure and register as pain. They are closer to the surface in thin skin.

I'd absolutely loooove a citation identifying and explaining this sexual touch receptor I've never heard of...

You got me. I have no clue what it is. But I know what it isn’t, and that’s a pressure / pain receptor, which is what’s in that diagram. I cannot emphasise this enough, it genuinely felt nothing but the smallest bit “pleasurable”. You have to try really hard.

I'm guessing your condition might have made it hard to explore what it had to offer? :/ I mean, the outer foreskin is just a continuation of the penile shaft skin so it'd feel the same more or less, it's what's on the inside that's super-sensitive and pleasurable. :x

Not enough to make me bothered by losing it. It’s still just as sensitive. And the conversation is taking a weird turn now, I think ROTW would like us to stop. The argument isn’t going to change my mind because it’s been six days and there’s just as many cited papers either side.

"Number of papers" is a terrible metric for the truth. I understand I'm not going to be able to change your mind if you believe you haven't felt a difference in sensitivity, but I've definitely felt it, so you're not going to change my mind either. :/

I guess we can agree to disagree there?

I don't know that we have a choice? The only thing I know I haven't mentioned that might still have some impact is the recent documentary American Circumcision. I think it's worth it to see the people who actually did this research defend it, and it takes less than six days :v
