Yeah, it's a double paycheck so it's no wonder they push it so hard. Paid to cut it off, then free to sell the removed foreskin on the internet:

You just think that because you think of foreskin as "useless extra skin" Which is exactly what the cosmetics companies that buy infant foreskins want you to think. You've been lied to. We all have.

We do know. We have known for a very long time. Circumcision removes the most sensitive parts of the male genitalia: It causes dysfunction That was the entire point, when it started in the 1800s:

I guess myth is a poor word choice, but saying things like "deliberate corporate-political conspiracy and propaganda campaign to justify the continued harvesting of infant genital flesh for sale online" is a bit much for people to swallow. :x

It WAS intended to harm us though. Then sometime in the 20th century, we as a society realized that sex isn't evil and masturbation doesn't kill you. But by that point circumcision was so normalized, so many people were guilty of it, they needed to find new justifications.

Oh, but it can. Are you familiar with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child?

  8. Jan 3

The problem is that it sexually damages men. Some more than others. Which is what it was originally meant to do: cut off pleasurable parts to discourage masturbation.

You're an MD publically supporting an unnecessary and harmful surgery on infants. With blatant disregard for the research in the field, the hippocratic oath and the physician's fiduciary duty to the patient. Doctors don't get to opt out of ethics, sorry

How do you know what "just fine" is if you never experienced it? Have you spoken to victims of FGM to see how they feel about it? Here's one who wrote a book about her experience. She seems to have no issue with the comparison

And it wasn't just Maimonides either. You find the same logic a thousand years prior from Philo Judaeus in "Of the Special Laws", Book I (ii)

Note that Bossio's study here actually confirms the link I sent, if you read their results and not the desperately-spun-sounding conclusion. "The foreskin of intact men was more sensitive to tactile stimulation than the other penile sites". As for religion, well...

If they ask "why do we cut people then", don't be afraid to give a little history lesson on the inventor of corn flakes :v Might get some angry backlash from parents but they deserve to know the truth...

Yeah, there's a reason they don't offer that choice. 1mL of baby foreskin is worth hundreds of dollars. They sell it. Celebrities like Oprah and Sandra Bullock smear it on their faces.

  15. Jan 2

That "skin" is the most sensitive part of the male genitalia: The purpose of circumcision has always been to deprive people of sexual pleasure, whether to discourage masturbation or rape or whatever... It was done to boys and girls alike in america.

The study WAS conducted incorrectly. Here is a letter to the editor explicitly explaining how. This was in the thread I linked, complete with source: But you didn't know that because you didn't read the thread

Fact #5: Secular Circumcision in America was not a jewish thing, it was a 19th century CHRISTIAN temperance movement thing, spearheaded by seventh-day-adventist corn flakes inventor John Harvey Kellogg.

You keep subtweeting, you keep getting circumcision facts. #4: Circumcision was prescribed as a way to keep black people from raping american women. Are you getting concerned by the big picture of this shit yet?
