    Hooray for Fox Bay! Their new community-run nature area in West is taking shape. With school children growing native plants from cuttings and seeds to restore pretty Weasels Bay.

    The Indigena weed management team are hard at work spraying tufted hair grass on the slopes above Husvik. Team members gather information on how weed populations are changing so we can have a data led weed management strategy

    🌾Thank you Weddell Island, West for your inspirational shots of tussac restoration. In just 5 months the tillers have grown (left to right), stabilising peaty soil. They will now start sucking up carbon dioxide and making a cosy home for wildlife. 🐧

    Plant collecting is only successful with a good team! Here we are, all of us that have been searching for Zanthoxylum species for the past week, on Puerto Rico. Thank you to our collaborators and colleagues from Puerto Rico!

    Good record keeping is essential. We keep digital data of the collection site, habitat and ecology of the species. Herbarium vouchers and DNA samples will be place at collections. Here presses a specimen of Zanthoxylum thomasianum.

    Our final day in the field and we finally found the Endangered Zanthoxylum thomasianum, restricted to PR and the Virgins Islands. Amazing effort from who, definitely, is not scared of heights...

    We didn't find any Zanthoxylum sp. today but found other threatened plants: Ottoschulzia rhodoxylon (rosewood) and Schoepfia arenaria. Both endemic to Puerto Rico.

    Lots of rain recently on Tortola BVI... Many national and regional endemic species in native garden beds flowering at Jr O'Neal BG 👍 Bastardiopsis eggersii, Solanum conocarpum, Senna polyphylla var. neglecta and Croton fishlockii

    We spotted many anoles, lizards and three Puerto Rican racer snakes yesterday on Anegada , including this one eating an anole!
